The Mechatronics Engineering Technology AAS Degree (00ELT3012) is an ICCB approved extension of the Electronics Technology AAS Degree (00ELT3010) and is the parent program to:

Career Opportunities:  The Electronics Technician has career opportunities in many entry-level areas such as:  Mechatronics Technician, PLC Programmer, Automation Technician, Robotics Technician, Control Systems Technician, Industrial Automation Specialist, Microcontroller Engineer, AI Systems Integrator, Electromechanical Technician, Automation Maintenance Technician, AI/Machine Learning Specialist, and Smart Manufacturing Technician along with similar roles.

 

Transfer Opportunities: The graduate in Electrical Engineering Technology can transfer to most universities in the country, however the following programs at Southern Illinois University offer a student benefit through a capstone transfer agreement, reducing course requirements for UCC credits and ensuring all JALC courses in this guide are transferred into the programs listed below.
