PNE 101 - Fundamentals of Nursing

Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into Practical Nursing Program.
Fundamentals of Nursing is a basic course which presents an introduction to the practice of nursing, the role of the practical nurse, and his/her function in the health care system. The student will learn the nursing process, the therapeutic environment, health maintenance in the health care system, and nursing interventions in specific situations. The Nurse Practice Act will be discussed, as well as end-oflife therapies and care.
