PSY 203 - Adolescent Psychology IAI Number GECC: S6904 3 Credit Hour(s) 3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hours(s) Prerequisite(s): PSY 132 Adolescent Psychology examines interrelated bio-logical, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects of development during adolescence based on a life-span perspective. Topics include family relationships, peer relations, the school experience, career choice and work, the college experience, identity formation, adjustment, moral development, and the development of intimacy and sexuality. The course concludes with a focus on adolescents at risk. Course content is based on theory, empirical research, and application.
