Once you register for classes, your Volmail email address, Username/Student ID & Password are sent to that same personal email. This will get you into all the services listed below within 24 hours.

Desire2Learn:
Many courses require you to use Desire2Learn (D2L), the college’s distance learning platform. If you’re registered for any online or hybrid classes, they will appear in D2L at the beginning of each semester (most courses will not appear in D2L until the first day of classes).
New to D2L? Consider taking the D2L Orientation to learn how to use the most common tools in D2L.
If you are having a problem accessing D2L (but can access MyJALC or Volmail) or have other questions, you can find help here:
- Student help links on the right-hand side of the landing page in D2L.
- Online Learning page on the College website
- Or Contact D2L Support at d2lsupport@jalc.edu or call 618-985-2828, ext. 8278
If you are not seeing your classes, check these things first:
- Check your schedule in MyJALC to make sure you are still registered.
- Check the start date for the class. Do not expect to see a class before the start date listed in MyJALC or on your schedule.
- Check the section number for the class. Sections with a “V” in them (V1, V2 … V8, V9) should be available by 8:00 AM the first day of classes. All other section numbers may not be available until after the first class meeting.
